If you’re not getting the results you want from social media, maybe it’s time to try something different.
This week, every time you have the urge to go to Facebook, go to LinkedIn instead. Spend the same amount of time you would have on Facebook, but focus on interacting with those in your professional network and focus on your work. Avoid the urge to dive into content that’s unrelated to your professional life (celebrity gossip, cat videos, etc.) and spend that time engaging in conversations or reading content related to your work.
Will it be as fun as what you’d experience if you were on Facebook? Maybe not–but you never know. Will it be more productive? Absolutely.
